OK, so scratch everything that I’ve posted previously! I think we’ve found the place for the reception!!! (…I keep saying that don’t I…) Anyway, it’s called “HUNG WUN” in Chinese. It’s in
Pros:
- Big open space with a high ceiling
- Fully equipped with dance floor, sound system and lights for dance floor
- Good bride’s room (not a big deal, but it has a lock and that’s important)
- Big parking lot (shared with a 24hr Shoppers Drug Mart)
- Fairly decent décor – they’re currently putting in the new chandeliers. Although, they’re not as nice as some other restaurants like
- Decent food
- It’s AVAILABLE for our date!!!
Cons:
- It doesn’t look that fancy on the outside
- The name is kinda “lo to” as Carol has pointed out!
We’ll be going there again for dinner on Saturday to check it out with my family. I’ll give an update then!
Also on Saturday, we’re going to check out University Golf Club and probably

Haven't been there before, but if the ceiling is higher and there is parking stalls for everyone, then it sounds good. The outside doesn't matter since we won't be out there long... unless we're loitering afterwards ;S
what is "lo to"?
HAHAHAHAHA!! "LO TO" kinda means old fashioned in a dorky way...? anybody wanna help me out?
Just a comment about Mayfair. My friend just got married there. Nice place for the ceremony, but it can be a bit distracting, cuz planes fly by every little while, and it is a gold course, so you can actually hear the golfers go 'I hope I don't hit them' or 'Geez, the ball better not hit them'
Sophia
oops. 'golF course' not 'gold course' =P
HAHAHAHAHAHAA!! That's hilarious!!! Ok we'll definitely keep that in mind!
CONFIRMED: THE PLANES WILL DRIVE ME NUTS!!!!!!!
Mayfair is definitely out. I didn't like the inside of the place AT ALL! I can't imagine having a cocktail party there!!! :S
